Apply to write a worship song for your church.
Every month, we partner with a limited number of churches to coach them through our formational songwriting process and collaborate on an original song designed to carry the heart of your church. You’ll gain access to the Living Liturgy Formation Library and join the monthly orientation calls. Then, you’ll work directly with our team of coaches, music producers, and mentors to write, produce, and lead an original song of worship.
Overview of the Process
Our goal is not just to write a great-sounding song. We want to show you a path of spiritual formation that takes you on a journey of discovering God’s heart for your community in this season.
1. Formation
You enter our formation library to learn the foundations of what it means to be a worship songwriter.
2. Orientation
You explore your songwriter calling, church identity, and start the process of discernment and preparation.
3. Songwriting
You write a song with the support of our coaches, producers, and mentors. We anchor the process in whole-life worship writing.
4. Leading
You bring your song to your community as an offering of praise. We equip you with resources to support you as you share.
Here’s how we support you
Every collaboration begins with access to the Living Liturgy Formation Library. It includes the foundational course Becoming a Worship Songwriter, the creative tool the Song Formation Flow, and a constantly growing library of resources to support you as a worship songwriter.
You’ll begin the creative process with two 90-minute group video calls led by our Founder, Nathan Lain, to walk you through the first steps of our formative flow. You’ll build relationships with other worship songwriters in your cohort and be introduced to many of the coaches and producers on our team.
The opening group sessions will equip you to collaboratively write a worship song with one of our Songwriting Coaches and Music Producers. Through three to four 90-minute virtual sessions, they will help you walk through the remaining steps in the formative flow, encourage you on your songwriting journey, and produce a demo of your song to share with your church community and worship team.
You’ll receive all the assets you need to lead your song at your church, including a fully produced demo of your song, a chord chart, and supportive resources.
With your song completed and ready to lead, our coaching team will support you with the final steps to make sure everything flows smoothly.
What does it take to collaborate?
The full cost of a partnership is $1,000, and here’s how we make this accessible.
We aren’t just writing a worship song or selling you a product. We’re investing in your spiritual formation.
We know we are called to collaborate with megachurches, small rural community churches, and international churches.
God has a song for every type of community that makes up his church.
We want to write great songs, but we want to inspire worship to rise even more.
Your application is an invitation to a community of churches where those who have much pay what they can and those who have little receive from the generosity of others.
Here’s a better way to put this.
Don’t apply for a partnership because of what you have. Apply because of who you are.
You’re a worship leader, songwriter, or pastor ready to be used by God to create something that captures his heart for your community. You’re a community called by God to express the glories of his kingdom to the world around you. Our mission is to empower songwriters to glorify the name of Jesus in song among those who faithfully seek the Kingdom of God in every language, culture, and tradition. Your invitation isn’t about access. It’s about identity.
We’re building the structure to enable a multiplication of songwriting across the world. You’re invited to show up with who you are and trust God for the rest.
