About Living Liturgy

Living Liturgy is dedicated to supporting worship songwriters who want to write from a life of worship, not from pressure or performance. Everything from the membership to coaching and songwriting empowers this cause.

Our Story

Living Liturgy is a response to a growing sense that there are more songs stirring in the hearts of local worship leaders than are currently being written and received. Many worship leaders want to write original music, but lack the training, resources, or community to support that work. This is the gap we seek to bridge through everything we do.

More importantly, we believe God has more songs to reveal through his church that do not necessarily belong on the radio, major conference stages, or top streaming playlists, yet still have an important place in God’s kingdom. While transformational and widely shared songs can come from anywhere, our focus is not on industry strategy or platform building. We want to cultivate the heart of worship, not manage the demands of a career path. Living Liturgy exists to raise up worship songwriting that flows from humble attentiveness to God rather than the pursuit of visibility.

This conviction is reflected in the name Living Liturgy. God often moves through the simplicity of local worship, and we believe worship deepens through attentive practice over time. These liturgies are living not because they are trendy, polished, or culturally optimized, but because they are shaped by Scripture, prayer, and responsiveness to the Spirit.

Writing original worship songs is just one way to fulfill this vision, but we have seen these practices reshape how worship leaders understand worship, creativity, and faithfulness. The work reaches beyond writing a single song and begins to form how leaders listen, pray, and respond to God over time. We want to invite you into that ongoing work.
