Forming worshippers to write new songs for the local Church. For the glory of God among the nations.
We’re on a mission to help as many churches as possible sing original music with their native nation, language, and culture. We’re cultivating the heart and craft of the worship writer, coaching leaders, and writing songs through our co-songwriting and production process.
What is a Living Liturgy?
God calls his people to worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24) and to offer our lives as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1-2).
Our living liturgy is our entire life of worship offered to God in surrender and faith.
Our living liturgy is what happens when God’s people faithfully gather to worship through song, prayer, Word, and sacrament.
When gathered worship flows from a life of worship, something comes alive. We’re cultivating the heart of worship in the songwriter and guiding songwriters to give voice to what God is doing in their community, culture, and calling.
We believe that God stirs new songs in the local church in a way that captures God’s heart for the community, shares the gospel in a way the community can grasp, and amplifies the voice of the people. Our mandate is from Psalm 96:1-3 (ESV):
Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth! Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!
There are many ways to be involved in the Living Liturgy community, but the best first step is a simple orientation that introduces you to the Living Liturgy way.
We want to invite you into the story because we want to hear the songs God is stirring in your heart. This orientation offers a first step into Living Liturgy—connecting you to our community and helping you rediscover your place as a worship songwriter.
The orientation is a simple resource: introductory teaching, foundational creative practices, and a guiding lens for writing songs from a life of worship. The orientation also includes an invitation to a simple Zoom gathering, where we listen together and begin practicing in community. Create a free account to begin.
